Glowing & Growing Gardening Trends

With the Springtime sun finally starting to warm our faces, we’re getting our gloves and trowels out and preparing ourselves and our yards for some inspired springtime gardening. Here are some of our favourite trends for the upcoming season!

Dark Fences

A dark backdrop is the perfect foil for green (and any color flower). Black paint (or dark stain) is an inexpensive way to instantly create drama.

Edible Greenery

Whether you plant a small container of microgreens or plant an entire section of your edible garden to the endeavor, you’ll be on trend for 2015. The tiny sprouts are quick to grow (they take less than two weeks to go from seed to table), packed with nutrition, and adorable. Just shear and eat.

Forced Bulbs

Forced bulbs are such a great way  to bring spring indoors before the chill of winter is gone. This winter we’re seeing more pots of forced bulbs including muscari, narcissus, amaryllis, and crocuses.

Grass Gardens

Soft billowy grasses are quickly replacing straight edged hedges in the landscaping game. They leave your backyard with a whimsical and soft feel that is both welcoming and relaxing (not to mention easy to care for)

Unique Garden Lighting

Gardens are a great place to rest and nothing makes a space more ambient than beautiful lighting. Soft and whimsical or bright and cheery, lighting can make all the difference in your backyard.

There you have it! Our top 5 Glowing and Growing trends for 2015 are all ways to take your outdoor space to the next level. If you are inspired by these trends but need the elbow grease or the know-how to execute them, we’d be happy to make your backyard dreams come true.
