When you are decorating your home, you must pay attention to every detail. Your measurements, your colour descriptions, even right down to your order number submissions with your suppliers. Paying close attention to detail is an admirable quality to have in the work force, because it proves that you take care in each product that you produce. It ensures your employer that there will be nothing that goes by you which does not look absolutely perfect.
Even prior to joining the workforce, many job descriptions demand that you have an attention to detail but how can you really prove this?
When planning a wedding (whether your own or someone else’s) missing just one detail could be a catastrophic offense when it comes down to the ‘big day.’ Things may be put aside, or even deferred, but skipping over an important detail altogether is just unacceptable!
Today I will be showing you one of my most FAVOURITE details in the interior design world that truly gives your furniture a luxurious edge.
The ‘tufted’ detail is when buttons are hooked from the front and through to the backside of your chair in a pattern. It’s rather hard to explain with just words, so take a look at what I mean….
Now don’t you agree that it looks quite elegant? Especially the leather; it gives what would’ve been a simple brown piece of furniture, some charm.
You can even add an extra gleam of ‘fancy’ with some buttons with sparkle, like you see in the photo above. That would be gorgeous in a walk-in closet or a young lady’s bedroom.
Here are a few more examples of some beautiful tufted furniture…
As you could see in the photos above, the tufting effect can be done with practically any material and it compliments a variety of different design styles.
You can even customize whether you’d like the tufts closer together, far apart; in a diamond pattern, or simply side-by-side. Some ottomans can even have tufting on all sides! There really are lots of options with this amazing detail.
I have a tufted black leather chair in my own home, so I’d say I love this detail enough to use it myself!
Well Edgers, that it all we have for today!
Until next time,
