There once was a day when Gold was popular. It was used for every doorknob, every bathroom fixture and even every cabinet pull. Then, Brushed Chrome and Satin Nickel came to town and Gold was out numbered and very much shunned.
Years later and now Gold is back! Except it has a new look and a new name. BRASS. Brass is basically like Gold except it has an edgier look. This look consists of a muted shade of Gold and it tends to look a little rustic, almost dirty.
Not only is Brass-Gold making its way back to first place on the podium but it is considered to be a part of the “neutral” clan and can be seen beautifully alongside pretty much every colour of the rainbow.
Take a look at some Brass accent examples here:
The room above is very eclectic and we love how each piece of furniture is unique and brings something to the whole picture. Each Brass piece in this room is placed strategically and balanced out well throughout this ocean of colour.
The last few Brass accents are a true tale of how a little goes a long way.
I think you’ll agree when I say that this trend will most likely be around for longer than its last appearance. Boy, does it look great!
Brass, we salute you. Congratulations on getting yourself back on top and looking more fabulous than ever.
Bye for now Edgers!
